Questions and Answers about GROWBIZ:

 Q. Why do you insist that all materials recommended for use in a Growbiz operation  be common and inexpensive ones available everywhere?

A. We want to help you, the buyer of our Guide make money. Not some supplier of an overpriced product. You would pay too much in shipping charges. You would be dependent on the reliability of such a supplier. Never get into a business where you cannot break the ties between yourself and those who get you started. They don't have to price competitively. You must be in control at all times. They might go out of business!

Q. Why do you recommend that I do all the step in my operation, rather than hiring someone else to do some things?

A. This would be "purchase production". You'd give away too much of your profit. The profit is in the huge difference between what the materials you use will cost and the "expensive" selling price the products bring. The work is easy, and for most people, actually more fun  than work. Don't give those profits away!

Q. What are some of the advantages of using Imitation Stone rather than buying containers for my plants?

A. The main advantages are beauty and cost. These are absolutely beautiful. They are very unique and look very expensive. People will often buy an arrangement just for the container. Especially attractive are the little shallow dishes made from Imitation Stone, which look like the very expensive Bonsai pots. You know what these cost. Yet you can make this  container for only a few pennies each!  The real advantage in the end is "profits".

Q. I have never grown anything before. Can I learn how to do this?

A. I doubt there is anyone who cannot learn to grow plants. Nature does all the work. Man just helps by providing the right conditions. The containers are very easy and actually fun. Learning to put all these together in an attractive arrangement will become second nature very soon. Our Guide covers everything in simple language and concise illustrations.

Q. Explain some of the factors that allow a Growbiz operation to be so profitable with almost no investment to get started.

A. There is no magic. It is nothing more than the fact that this happens to be a product in great demand and also a product which enjoys the status of being an "impulse" sell item. (Everyone knows the best kind of product to have for sale is an impulse one.) At the same time, it is a product which normally goes through several middle-men before it reaches the consumer... each person making a handsome profit for his meager effort. There is the wholesale grower, the jobber, the trucker and the florist who finally sells to the consumer. Each makes a profit that is added to the final selling price. You do everything yourself. You grow the plants, no trucker or jobber is involved, you are the "florist" so you provide the "art" to make them attractive. The public is willing to pay high prices for a finished product so the "art" part of the florist is a relatively large income item. Add all these various "profits" up and subtract the very low material and overhead costs of this business from it. You have made the incomes of all these people!

Q. What do the Imitation Stone containers look like?

A. The original ones remind me of an ancient and weather worn object which was hewn from a solid piece of stone. I saw some genuine Roman objects in a town outside of Rome while there with the military. These were actually being used as door stops to my  great amazement! This material looks just as I remember those. (This is a great material to simulate old statuary.) Other ways recently developed can give a smooth finish which is useful for containers which will be colored with a smooth finish, especially a glossy finish. They can be made in literally any shape, color and size you  want.

Q. Where are some of the places I can sell my plants?

A. Probably at more different places than nearly any other product produced! This could range from your own home, to the grocery, flower shop, gift shops, garage sales, flea markets, Quick Stop, hospitals,  right down to a street vendor. Anyplace there are people. The list is so very long.
